About OwnShop UK & how we pick products

OwnShop UK is a small, editorially-run catalogue of well-reviewed products sold on Amazon UK. It exists for one reason: most shopping research is noisy, and most “best of” lists are written without checking whether anything is actually still well reviewed.

The rules we work to

• Rating first. A product only enters a category if it holds a strong average rating on Amazon UK with a meaningful number of reviews behind it.
• A price cap per category. Each category carries its own ceiling, so a list cannot drift towards the most expensive thing on the shelf.
• Re-checked daily. Pools are refreshed every day; products that stop qualifying are removed.
• No paid placement. Brands cannot buy their way into a category or onto the deals board.

How the money works

OwnShop UK is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme. When you follow a link to Amazon and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same, and the commission has no bearing on which products are listed.
